Hello Vista Forums,

Ive personally been painfully searching this so called world wide web with no success in finding anything close. All i get is getting bt to work with x86 drivers. It cannot be the case that they are non-existent. wtf is non existent on the www?

Im sure alot of gamers are looking for the same thing, ive seen multiple threads on here and i hate to bring it up again.

Q: Does the Xbox360 Controller really plug and play on x64 vista?

Ive been through more than 100 pages worth of forum rubbish aswell as a couple gay guides that dont mention nothing about x64 driver.

If anyone can find a guide 40 pages long, aslong as its a x64 driver or some instructions on how to get it to work please! im dying to play prostreet/undercover/grid :'(

its not plug and play but there is a 64bit driver that ships with the wireless gaming reciever, and you can get it from microsoft's website here > http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=Gaming
i do need to warn you though, the pad will not work if its wireless and connected via charge cable unless you have the wireless gaming reciever. the wired pad works a treat.

that is what i meant:o, wired. when they mention plug 'n play, it means that they PLUG in the device. being that the wireless is 2.4Ghz and not bluetooth, they will need a dongle, but as far as i understood, that's not what was asked.

if you plug in the wired controller it should be recognized natively, if not, run windows update.

my definition of pnp is plug it in and play with default drivers loaded onto vista or windows update, you cannot do this as the drivers are not available from windows update or the Operating System, you need to install the software.
