Vista - Thinking about Clans

A while back I said in a different thread that I would never play online again due to bad experiences, and believe me they were bad, but I now have the chance if I want to to set up Clans, I roughly know what they are, but are Clans just for FPS games? or can they be for any game? I am still mulling over the idea but at the same time don't want to leave it (should I decide to go ahead) open to kids jumping in, I'm more of your mature gamer and would want to keep the age group around my own age........unless there are younger players that are sensible and won't abuse the opportunity.

I know that of course that the games I chose would have to be popular ones otherwise I might end up being the only one with that particular game

Can anyone follow this load of cobblers that I am waffling on about?

I could only play with people I can trust and know well, but maybe I don't really understand this that well as I have never tried this before.........its just an idea which knowing me will flop like a pancake lol

Well, I'm a mature gamer as well There was a time when I played a lot via internet with other people, but now I play mostly on my own, just for fun, and when I have time to play (you know, work can make us exhausted ). Everything depends on games you choose, for now you can count me in

I should also have pointed out that I (and I hope the bosses here won't slate me for this, and I am sorry to mention it yet again) but I have to set the Clans up on my site, and also that as I don't class myself as a brilliant gamer, infact very poor that it is better suited to players that are in the same boat as me, rather slow I'm afraid, that said anyone that is good can and is more than welcome to be a part of it, just be aware that I and others are not so fast and sharp.

I know this must and looks like I am advertising all the time, but I dont know how else to word this and say it, me and words don't get along, can I be forgiven? I don't mean to incur anyones wrath really

Well, to be honest with you, I ain't that good either As someone said "I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer... hell, I'm probably a spoon"

So basicly you're looking for people to play with in some games, right ? Or did I misunderstood ?

Yes eventually, I say eventually as I need to find decent folks wanting to play a spell, and I guess it would help to say what games exactly, well I have and was particularly thinking of Crysis for a start.

Others may include:

Team Fortress 2, although I have never played it, but would'nt mind trying it out, I have the Orange Box of Half Life

I have CoD 4 too, but I have hardly played them, and never online, but it might be a giggle if nothing else, just a shame you can't do this with Strategy games, as that is my forte, meaning I like that genre best, using my brains, what's left of them, was never that hot anyway!! lol

I had what I thought was a great idea and this is not really Clan-Based, but I wanted to try to set-up a Chess league as I like Chess and have the ChessMaster 10th Edition and the latest as far as I know ChessMaster GrandMaster Edition, but this never got off the ground as I did and still do not know how to do it was a dream thats all

I have so many games that to really list them would be impossible, so I shan't even go there lol

btw thats not nice, who said that to you? mind you the same has been said about me more than once!! lol damn cheek lol

I'm not proud of myself... most of games I have are downloaded from the vastness of internet I own some original titles but most of them are ment to be played in single mode. So I don't know if I'll be even able to play online

Not to worry, it was but a pipe dream, I don't know enough people to have made this work anyway, just an example of a stupid thread I can start

Just enjoy your singleplayer games, I'll have to continue that too, and at least the AI does'nt give you any grief in the games, something I have had plenty of online

I have a server from leetservers for Call of Duty World at War. It it has a password. This keeps the cheats/hackers out of our fun. We are a bunch of older guys/vets/firemen/ect. and play a very fair game. Were not that good but just have a blast. My server is SIR FALCON USA. That server is Bandit Falcon USA in TDM. Same bunch of good ole boys having honest fun.
