Everything about Microsoft Windows Flight Simulator works fine, except there is no sound whatsoever. What may be the cause of this? I haven't used the simulator in a while, and this is the first time on Vista Home Premium. Thanks for any advice!

I had this same problem playing Guild Wars the other day. I know it sounds stupid, but i spent about 20 mins trying to fix it, after checking the sound on the game and my audio connections, it turns out that i simply had my sound card volume off!
Stupid i know, but check it out anyways, along with your audio connections. Does sound work for anything else? Other games, videos, mp3s?
Hey,
Thanks for the tip. Yeah, the sound works for all my other applications. I discovered that if I close the game, and start it up again, the sound than works, though I'm not sure why it takes restarting the game to get the sound to work.
Thanks.

Hmmm..................................?
Interesting. So it sounds like all your sound functions ok and everything is on. Try reinstalling the game. Might just work.
Yes install it again. Restart and that should work.
