This is a quote i had written up roughly a month ago, ofcourse prices have gone up, and i actually ended up with a HD4870 1GB and i couldn't order the Phenom in for a long ****in time so i ended up with a intel 2.3 quad, which does the job nicely was probably better off with a dual core for gaming, but.. board supports i7 im sure, so wont be too long for a upgrade to 3.4 quad hope this helps

If you would like the spreadsheet (excel) ill be more than happy to forward, just hit me up on msn. But it all comes down to preference and what the desktop is going to be used for
