Me wanting to know weather there be any decent mmorpg that I can play with a mate that are any good? they needs to be free, or a one off fee. preferably free.

please don't suggest the following as we have tried them:

> Hero online
> Runescape

I'd like it to be fairly good looking too, if thats not too much to ask :P

The two I've tried are RF Online and Kal Online, both are okay, but I didn't play them for long as the only MMO I play is Star Wars Galaxies, which is pay-per-month.

Guild Wars is the best MMO without a monthly subscription, but you still need to buy the game.

Timford, I advise you take my advise and install America's Army v2.4.0. It's a very good online army 1st person shooting game. The graphics are excellent, feels like you're right beside actual squad members. Sound affects, shadows everything is great. Http://www.AmericasArmy.com/

Try Team Fortress 2, it is $20 USD and doesn't have any fees. It is a FPS with approx 2000 servers ranging in size from 5 to 36 people at 1 point. It has tons of different maps and is loads of fun!
