First of all, let me start off by saying how great this site is and how helpful the people on this site are!

Secondly, now that I've done my brown nosing, here is my problem.

Whenever I play Guild Wars and exit the game I get the following error.

WMC.bmp

The error only occurs when I play Guild Wars all my other games work fine.

Also could anyone tell me why windows media center would even attempt to open.

I have disabled windows media center completley (or at least I thought I did) via services and thru default programs.

My laptop runs fine but that error message is getting annoying.

I looked all over for the answer to this same problem and FINALLY FOUND answer. It made my media center work again!

here is what you do

you have to re-register the .dll

open your command prompt and open it with admin priv

press enter between each line

regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
regsvr32 wmp.dll


once you do this it will all work again
