Vista - luxor 3 game not working

hi dont know if anyone is facing the same problem but luxor 3 not working properly in windows vista it is very slow and kind of skid while playing to a great deal while on same computer works great on XP dual boot partition.
i am looking to buy some more of these kind of games so will i face the same kind of problem with all of them ...
games are from obrien media.

I have the same problem with jewel quest. The game wont even work half the time. Some of these games can be played free online, if in doubt just do that.

Your laptop have the Nvidia or Intel graphics?

If it is the Nvida try the latest drivers for it from here (comes with a modded INF so that it will install on just about every Nvidia based laptop graphics card/chip),

no guarantees on this one, but they are quite a bit newer than what is available from HP (by more than a year). One more thing if it is the Intel graphics, even new drivers may not help what this says is true,

regarding that chipset. The game requires a DX 8.1 compatible vidoe card (meaning in hardware) and that Intel only does it in software.

I know it doesn't really help with your problem but after seeing this I found the game and have played it with zero problems on both my computer (specs below) and my wife's/kid's computer (old Athlon XP 2800+ with a 9800 Pro).

yup i have a nvidia 7400 i`ll try that hope it helped i had same problem with Zuma deluxe and i fixed it by disabling the hardware acceleration in nvidia is it related in any way ?

Quick question, you playing the game(s) full screen or in windowed mode?

Full screen and strange only these small obrein media and yahoo games are problem i play call of duty and red alert they work with no problem at all.

You run with Aero on? If so just to test, set the theme to Windows Vista Basic and try the game again. If that fixes it, then for whatever reason Aero isn't getting disabled when the game starts (which it should, and does on my computer).
