Quake 4 & Vista 64

Hello all, new to these forums. Hope you can sort me out.

When i insert the Quake 4 disc in drive i have an error message that the program has known compatibility issues with the version of Vista. Also says to have the latest version of macromedia flash player installed, which i have.
System requirements are all ok on pc.

Is it ok to go ahead with the install, and will it run ok once i have?

Am running Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP1

Yes it is just after installing get the latest update for Quake 4.

ok....so i click on run program, and an error box comes up saying "access is denied" and wont let me go any further. :confused:

Did you try to Run as Administrator by right clicking on the executable?

Thanks that worked a treat......didn't even have to install the update. ( or should i? )

The update fixes some issues and it also adds the no cd so you don't have to have the cd in the drive.
