Symptoms:
When playing Flight Simulator X in Windows Vista, with a dual display configuration, the primary display will flash on and off or display severe graphical corruption when starting a flight.
Cause:
This issue is caused by an issue within DirectX that is only present with a dual display configuration.
Solution:
To work around this issue, disable the secondary display before starting the game.
Microsoft is aware of this issue and is working to provide a fix as soon as possible. Any updates will be published on Microsoft's website or in their Knowledge Base when they become available.
