DX Device Capabilities Error

I recently downloaded the trial version of Hell's Kitchen from various sites (Big Fish Games, iWin, etc.) but get the same error from all the downloads when I click play game.

Error reads as follows: (DX error: - 2005530518) could not get DX device capabilities l:\projects\gamefabric\windows\library\c... (70)

I've installed the latest DirectX 10 from the Microsoft website.

I also ran DXDiag to find graphics card info and updated the driver.

Hi Jenniferivy,

The developer of this application has made an error during programming, Unfortunatly he is the only person capable of fixing the problem since its his soure-code :(

before you go, ive just noticed that your DirectX diagnostic log is showing your graphics card as a standard vga graphics adaptor. You need to install your graphics card before you try and play a game. DirectX features wont be running unless its installed.

It's an IBM ThinkPad T30 (not sure how to find more info on that).
I went to Lenovo Support and Downloads but can't find a driver for a graphics card.
How do I go about installing the card?
Thanks for your help. :D

I just found the driver I think I need.
It's for the ATI Mobile Radeon 7500 and says it's an update for Vista on the ThinkPad T30. I'm going to download that and hope for the best.
Thanks! :D

Problem not solved, unfortunately. I think the problem lies somewhere within Vista and the graphics card on my laptop. It seems they haven't made a suitable driver for both the older version of the Mobility Radeon that I use AND Vista. Hopefully they will, otherwise I might be forced to "downgrade" to Windows XP which seemed to give me less problems when I ran it.
