| Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) | Re: COD5 shutting down my PC Did you patch the game yet? I can't be 100% sure if it was this game, CoD4 or some other that was causing havoc before the patch. +1 on what everlong said... mixing heat & gaming is like mixing water & oil. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: COD5 shutting down my PC Well, AFAIK I haven't patched it. I will set Everest to log everything and I'll report back next time it happens. IF it is heat related, I'm glad that I can boost the fans: an Antec 900 case |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: COD5 shutting down my PC Well, the GPU reaches 74 degree celcius and the RAM 66 degree celsius. It actually shut down while pausing the game! The temperature was this high (and stable) for 5 minutes from what I can read from the log. Last edited by sveegaard; 02-22-2009 at 10:10 AM.. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: COD5 shutting down my PC Adjusting the GPU fan speed, the temperature dropped to GPU/RAM 47/39 degree celcius. The CPU cpres are however at 59 and 52 degree celsius; it should be well below specs. This time, at actually shut down during boot, so what could have been undervoltage is maybe heating. The temps just don't fit this theory :S |

| Xp/Vista/Server2003/Server2008/Linux Live Boot | Re: COD5 shutting down my PC This may or may not help, try cleaning your computer unless its new? Buy a can of duster, take off case sides, spray out dust including the power supply, remove video card, spray out dust, use a q-tip get as much as you can out. Dust can sometimes cause random problems with electronic components. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: COD5 shutting down my PC Thanks for the tip. I tried to make the fans in the cabinet run faster and hey presto - it's stable! * Note to self: trust people that say it's a heat problem * |
