Vista - sid meier's civilization 4 error!

Hi people I have a rather irritating problem.
I keep getting an error that says there is an compatible problem with Windows Vista, because of this i can't play the game, installing went fine.
However I haven't been able to find any solutions so i hope You people know anything for me.

I looked at the site u gave, i found some options for Sid meier's civilasation's but not for the version i have, and all that maches mine are all compatible... so still no solution. Still thanks for the suggestions

What version of the game do you have?

There are problems with this game and they are fixable.

It does not matter now since I no longer have Vista on either of my 2 machines. The pc I had with Vista crashed and when you start it up all you get is a black screen telling you to ctrl alt delete to start again and all you get is the same black screen with the same message. So I have or will be taking it to a pc tech to see if it can be salvaged. Then I am going to load Windows XP on it and NEVER use Vista again. You see Vista would not allow me to play any of my favorite games they all either crashed or were severely hindered by Vista.
Thanks for the offer but it comes too late to help me with Vista. If it were possible I would sue Microsoft for such a shoddy product, but that would cost me more money than I have.

i have the civilization 4 beyond the sword.i installed it just fine.the game starts off just fine. but when the game begins right after the first round it turns off with a message saying civ4 has stopped working... my laptop has 3Gb ram,2.00GHz processor...
whoever has a solution please help......
