Re: Gaming noob

your system could run pretty much anything, the Graphics card maybe the bottleneck of your system, but should be able to run anything you want really,
and for future reference, you can post your system specs here > http://www.vistax64.com/profile.php?do=extra and your system specs will appear like mine in the "my system specs" dropdown menu just to the left of my post.

Re: Gaming noob

Also, make sure you got the latest drivers for your Mobo (if the dell mobo aloows for it) as well as your Video & sound, this will help smooth out your game play. Make sure to read or ask how to go about updating your drivers, otherwise, you can have some corruption later on.

I usually let the game dictate my settings and then, little by little I manually change it until I am comfortable with frames per second vs graphics and smooth play.

Good luck.

Re: Gaming noob

Hi cleach87, welcome to the board. Nice rig.
The crash might have been just WoW. Too soon to jump into any conclusion until after a couple more games. Overheat shouldn't be one of the reason for that case. Hope it is nothing related to this which I hadn't read the whole thing. Rip-off Report: Dell Inc. Dell XPS 630/630i false advertising Round Rock Texas

Anyway, here are a few new game I enjoy greatly: FEAR 2, Farcry2, and Dead Space. Here is one 'am looking forward to play coming out March 13th: Tom Clancy's HAWX

Enjoy,

Bruce

Re: Gaming noob

Your computer will run anything Im sure of it, test out a few more games and try to play online to see if you lose connection or have a faint connection to any of the online games and if they crash they we will know if its hardware problems, In most cases if its just WoW I suggest reinstalling or patching it.

Hope that helps.
