Most games closing, the message says it has "stopped working"

Hello there,
My problem is that about half of the games i try running on my laptop close immediatey, drops me back to the desktop and says the message "-nameofthegame- has stopped working". After that Vista searches for a solution, and tells me i should install a new graphic driver.
Which i just did ten minutes and one required restart ago.
I use a Dell inspirion 1525 laptop, all hardware is the same as it shipped with, my operating system is vista home basic 32-bit, which is also shipped whith the machine.
I have the latest drivers available from the dells support page. Vista is also updated itself a few hours ago.
I also tried to istall the Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Familydrivers downloaded from intels homepage, but it wouldt let me install them.

Another issue i have is that vista just minimize the game (happens with fullscreen ones), and whenever i wabt to turn them back fullscreen, vista minimizes them again onto the tray...
Why is it doing that???

Sounds like a RAM problem to me. Does your computer meet the game's specifications?

Have you check if your laptop meets or exceeds the minimum requirements for those games you are trying to play?

Unless you have one of those expensive laptop, you're going to be hard pressed playing any of the newer games, laptops are not really ment to do that.

I have this driver installed, and i only wanted to play some retro stuff, like noone lives forever, blood2, system shock 2, or running the doomsday engine (btw newer games like Kings bounty legend runs quite fine.).
The last one always failed.
Seems like some opengl issue...
