| x64 Vista Home Premium | Warcraft III Frozen Throne Problem I just got a new computer with 64-bit Vista Home Premium, and I'm trying to run Frozen Throne on it. The program runs beautifully, except that any time a part of the game requires movement, the movement is wildly shaky, including units and the mouse pointer. It looks a lot like when you have the pointer set to have leave a trail behind it (I checked that- the pointer is not set that way), only much jerkier. I've tried running the program with every compatibility setting except windows 98 and 96, running it as an administrator, and changing all of the in-game graphics options. I ran dxdiag from the run command based on a tip from a somewhat related problem in a different post, but nothing was listed as disabled (which that post claimed was the problem). Also worth noting that I've logged onto Battlenet and downloaded all the patches available by doing that. Anybody know what's going on? |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Any Luck? Hey, i have exactly the same problem ever since i got my new computer with Vista. Unfortunately i havn't had any luck in fixing the problem so i was just wondering if you had found a solution in the 155 days that no one has responded to this thread *glum look*. Tell me if you found anything. Thanks, Lawrie |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Hurra Success! Hey, having spent about 4 hours trying to fix this i have finally succeeded. In my case the solution was simply to download the latest driver for my graphics card which is an NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT. To find out what graphics card you have open the Start menu - open Control Panel - open System - go into Device Manager - Look at the Display Adapter list and thats your graphics card (or at least thats how i found out). Then just search the net for the latest driver for that graphics card and just hope that they have fixed that problem...good luck. |
