Vista Tutorial - cant install game on vista

i insert the disc and it does nothing. i then go to drive e to open and manually install it and it says please insert a disc, but theres already a disc in there. any soltions?

Sounds like your drive is not detecting the disc. Any other drive you can use? Does the disc require a DVD player to run and not a ROM player? The disc is clean? Does the DVD/ROM player even spin when the disc is placed in the tray?

it only does this with certain games. i know its not the disc for sure. it has to be a vista problem. when i put the disc in it just clicks but will not do anything. then when i go to my computer and to disc drive e it says insert disc like theres nothing there.

open device manager, select the disk drive and press uninstall.

it should automatically install new (windows default) drivers.

You can also try installing original drivers for the drive from installation disk you got with the disk drive or by downloading them

ok all the information people have been giving me yeah it doesn't work reinstalling doesn't changing proprieties doesn't turning off windows firewall doesn't I've tried everything but it doesn't work all i want to do is play a simple game and its either vista or avg.
