i had this problem with metal gear solid 2 just about 2 hours ago :) managed to fix it, do you get a black screen when booted? update your sound controller drivers. also try disabling windows sound, look around the internet for some sort of patch, if the game is pretty much ancient then you will probbably not find one..

righ click the executable/shortcut
open properties
go to compatability tab
select 'run in 256 colors'

try and launch it now =)

Also did you try ALL compatability modes? if not that might be worth a shot too.

Hi guys ! I have had exactly the same problem. I've tried everything in the compatibility tab as well. Yeoman, did the game work on XP? Thanks in advance.
