| Vista Home Premium | Multi Game Crash Hi, I´m new to the Forums, but i need help. I have recently been trying to play Assassins Creed, Lego Indiana Jones and Burnout Paradise City on my PC. AC crashes at the same point everygame (about 10mins in). Lego Also Crashes about 5 minutes in (at same point). And Paradise crashes whenever it wants. The problem is that the Screen loses Signal, the speakers lock into a horrible sound and the computer freezes completly so that i have to turn if off. This problem was originally Assassins creed so i thought no more of it, but Burnout and lego are recent purchases. BTW, I have Fable TLC, Age of Empires 3, Spellforce 2 and Tomb Raider Underworld that all work fine. Can someone help? I have been using Driver Detective to ensure all my drivers are up to date. System specs are Intel(R) Core 2 quad Q8200 @ 2.33Ghz 4GB Ram 64 bit OS NVIDIA GForce 9600GS (768MB Dedicated) My vista ratings are well above the recomended scores for the games to play? |

| Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) | Re: Multi Game Crash Welcome to the forums Posting your specs would help us help you better... always remember to do that when asking for help. I would recommend updating your Sound & Video driver making sure you uninstall them first and then install a fresh copy with "Run as Adminstrator". Make sure that when you uninstall your video driver you also uninstall your PhysX driver as well. Also, if you check under Device Manager/Monitors... what do you get? do you see your Monitors name or "Generic PnP Monitor" as your driver? if the latter, you monitor driver might be the conflict and you need to upgrade to 64 driver. |

| Vista Home Premium | Re: Multi Game Crash Hi My Monitor Says "Non" Generic Pnp Monitor, so i am guessing that i have to go to the Manufacturers Site and find the driver? Also where do i get my "specs"? with XP i used to use DXDIAG in "run" but with vista i dont know? Lastly what do you mean "run as Administrator"? |

| Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) | Re: Multi Game Crash I also read that typing "MSinfo32" in the Run field but I don't know if this also works with 64bit PCs... I have never tried it before. Once you download and save into whatever temporary folder you want (the audio drivers as an example), open up explore and get to the driver file you just downloaded. Well, instead of just double clicking on it to begin installation, right click on the file instead and you'll see an option that says... "Run as an Administrator". vista loves this because of elevated permissions. |
