Vista - vista won't let me setup

I have a new laptop with home premium on it....i'm trying to install a baseball game,but I keep getting the same message at setup "unexpected problem trying to create or write to logfile"...error #7 i've tried running the program as administrator and it has no effect. Might there be some other form of security that vista won't allow this software past? thanks for any help.

What is the name of the game?

The game is Baseball 2009 from Action PC, Dave Koch Sports. As soon as I attempt to use the game's setup,it gives me an unable to setup error. The visual Basic toolkit to uninstall the setup fails as well.....says path/file error 75. It does run perfectly on an xp computer.

have you tried running/installing it in compatibility mode for XP sp2 ?

have you tried creating a folder on the root of your c: drive or whatever letter your hard drive uses and installed it to that?

I have tried installing the program straight to the root drive....it still asks to put it in a program group....should I choose not to do that?

thanks to all for your help. I finally got the game to install,thru trial and error. I had to be persistant about all areas within the program running as administrator. I'm not exactly sure what I did,however. It was carefully making sure administrator was chosen. thanks again.
