Vista - Big lag and stuttering in games

In the last couple of days every game I play seems to lag after about 5 mins of game play. This is new and I have never had any problems with lag in my games.

Plz can someone tell me whats going on.

System Specs:

AMD 64 X2 6000+@3.01ghz
3.07Gb Ram
Sapphire 3850 256mb version
(Can't remember mobo)

have you checked to see if any of your bits are getting too hot, cpu,graphics cards, m/b etc. check all the fans are working ok and all the air intakes are clear.

Or, Try going into your task manager and find "trustedinstaller.exe" - Right click and set Priority to "LOW" - Some users report this helps.

I have just checked the air intakes and fans, they seem to be working ok. I am doubtful about the GFX card though, CCC is reading that it is at 111'C and rising even with 0% activity.
