Call of Duty 4... Couple of Q's

So I decided to undust my copy of CoD4 and I remember something that I have always wanted to ask but kept forgetting to do so.

In the map "Death from Above" the one where you are onboard of a C-130 and get to play with 25mm + all the heavy guns , I have noticed that if you blow up the church, you failed of course, but inmediately after that, your picture is not only clearer but crispier as well.

I noticed the changed with both my rigs and video cards (8800GT 512mb & my GTX260)... has anyone ever see this?

On another token, and since this is my favorite map in the Single Player Campaign, I got to play the Arcade Mode in Hardcore and my score was 316240 the first time out... what's your best score? Sure you could lie but, why?

no idea...........

but what was the differance stepping up from an 8800gt to a 260? worth the cash? im due a new card and looking at a 295 (with the addition of a new psu) I could get away with a 260 with this psu , im not sure if it'll be that much of a step up though this 8800gt is a fantastic card

The idea of Threadjacking my own post goes against my beliefs and Religion but... what the hell!

I couldn't honestly tell you because in addition of updating to a new video card, I also update to a whole new rig so I can't really tell you if the performance increase were vast.

I see changes in my game settings, like going from Medium to High, I usually let the game dictate the Optimal Setting for my rig but since everything changed, I don't/can't say whether that increase was due to the GPU or the whole package.

Sorry I can't be more specific... the eye candy and the happines of the shiny new toys will be there though, no doubt.

There shouldn't be any difference regarding crispness between the GPU's, essentially they are using the same technology and the same monitor, COD4 looks good on my resolution though, very clear and crisp.

thats not what he was saying i dont think mr needs , what he means is , if you fail then restart the level upon restart the game looks crisper on his system , the image is improved the second time you try the level , it was the same with both his 8800gt and 260 , meaning its something within the game itself.............just his game though , he must have a special one

Funny that the game, even with my rig, does not allow me to set my res to 1680x1050... using optimal settings that is. I am stuck at using 1280 x 1024 but in all reality, I see very little difference so I just left it like that.

My Mommy always told me I was a special boy!

But, yes... that is precisely what I am saying.
