Vista - Fifa 09 Problem

Hmm.. i carnt really say in many word the problem... but here i go:

Afta installing fifa 09, i launched the game, three options were aviable and i wasnt able to select the one i wanted as it kept on going through all of them "as if the down key was blocked in or the joystick was forced down so it kept on going throught the list", but my keys were stuck in or my joystick (playstation 2 controller) was not forced down...
What could be the problem

Srry if this dsnt make sense but i dont know how to explain it :S
