Vista - Problems with Dungeon Siege Legend of Aranna

I was reading a thread about the problems with running the original Dungeon Siege game and its expansion, however, I did not see that there was any solution recorded. I am running into the same problem. What gives? I can't find any patches that will assist in getting this game up and running on my new laptop. I really enjoyed playing it and want to play it on my new computer.

I have installed it. Used the Compatibility tab and set it for XP SP2, and to operate as if in administrator. I also disabled the visual themes and I still get that there is compatibility problem and that it will not run.

Can someone please direct me to a place to find the solution. (I got one for Diablo II, what is the problem with Dungeon Siege?)

Okay, I went to the article... I could not download and install the patches. It could be because I already have the service pack on the computer. It did mention that the service pack would address the issue of the compatibility situation with Dungeon Siege. However, it still isn't working correctly.

I'll continue checking this out. I keep getting the messsage that 'The update does not apply to your system.' And I still can't get Dungeon Siege Legend of Aranna to run. It continues to give me the same message that there is a compatibility issue and it keeps referring me to Gas Powered Games for an undate -- which there is none there on the site.

Where else can I go to get this resolved. What has worked for others, anything?
