Vista Tutorial - playing flight simulator

My problem is when i play in my windows vista flight simulator game , a message come and tell me that your direcx version is not compatable with the game. And as i knew that windows vista have directx 10 and flight simulator only works in directx 9.c , i want your help on how to solve this problem .
I tried to download directx 9.c from many websites but still its not working , please help me to solve my problem as fast as possible .

Which version of flight sim is it ?, when you installed the game was there an option to install directx ?.

check the game install cd and see if directx is on there and try to install it from there.

thx , but i checked that too . My directx version is 10 in my vista , but the flight simulator x couldn't be installed in my pc , so i tried to install it in another computer that have directx 9 and then play it in my pc , still it's not working .

If there any website that i can download directx 9 ?

Try the directx download and see if that works. You could update your graphics driver too.

even with out directx 9 is should work if he has directx 10 installed.

does it say anything when you try to play it any error codes? or file missing errors?
