| Vista Home x64 Service Pack 2 | Vista Blue Screen crashes only in full screen game. I either play Left 4 Dead or Prototype and my computer crashes with a blue screen when I make a swift mouse motion to the right. It doesn't happen all the time, some days I can play L4D for hours and it won't crash. Some say the most common thing is Logitech Mouseware. I do have a Logitech mouse, Mx510 Performance Optical Mouse (Blue). I am running on Vista, I have visited the driver site for Logitech and found out that Vista does not require any driver for my mouse, and I never had on in the first place for this Dell XPS M1530. I just plug and use. So ingame, it would happen when I make a sharp turn with the character to look in first person view to the other side or behind me, with lots of things happening at the same time, such as attacks or explosions, screams etc. This is what I got as the only info that I could possibly even remember during the 10 seconds before reboot during the blue screen. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x0000000E(something like that) Then when my computer started up completely, it showed this: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.768.3 Locale ID: 4105 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: a BCP1: 0000099E0000007E BCP2: 0000000000000002 BCP3: 0000000000000001 BCP4: FFFFF80001C7B443 OS Version: 6_0_6002 Service Pack: 2_0 Product: 768_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini061709-01.dmp C:\Users\[NAME OF OWNER]\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-47767-0.sysdata.xml C:\Users\[NAME OF OWNER]\AppData\Local\Temp\WER222F.tmp.version.txt Read our privacy statement: Microsoft Online Crash Analysis *Note: I removed my name in those links for my own privacy. |

| Vista Ultimate x64; Win 7 x64 and x32 | Re: Vista Blue Screen crashes only in full screen game. Here's a link to a brief description of the error: Troubleshooting Windows STOP Messages There's not much info here to go on, but most BSOD's that occur during games are due to video problems, with audio problems coming behind them. So, for starters: - download the latest version of the video and audio drivers for your system. - uninstall the current video and audio drivers through Control Panel...Programs...Uninstall a program. - install the downloaded drivers. - reboot and wait for another BSOD :0) If this doesn't fix it, you'll have to navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump, zip up the contents of that folder and upload it with your next post. |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Vista Blue Screen crashes only in full screen game. That's where I uploaded my Minidump archive . Thanks, and highly appreciated! Video card driver is fully updated, as for audio driver (SigmaTel) I think it's main company's website or the company itself is dead . Last edited by Cheruby; 06-18-2009 at 09:14 AM.. |
