Vista - ArmA 2 Demo

Looks promising for a demo soon , theres no way im commiting to this one before ive played a demo , heard too many bad things

I've read a few reviews about this and Operation Flashpoint 2 and both look quite good, but at the moment I've leaning towards OF2. Will see how the demo is for this, though.

a couple of guys i game with have got it and they seem impressed so far , im looking for a new online game im getting abit sick of cod waw and want summat to tide me over till modern warfare 2 in november

but it looks like they may have taken "realism" a bit too far , if i have to spend 99% of my time getting into position only to miss everytime i take a shot at the one baddy ive seen in half an hour ill get very bored very quickly

I didn't really like the first one. I got to a mission where I had to destroy a bridge, but ended up getting a whole batallion of enemies on me, and gave up.

It seems that now a days we either get a super duper realistic/tactical game or an arcade-ish one that they just tossed the word tactical on it... what happened to a "happy Medium"?

Archie, I thought Arma 2 was already out, why launch the game and then throw a demo? I must of have my info all wrong I guess

no asta your right its been out in the UK since last Friday , i have a couple of friends got it from play delivered saturday , they are holding up on their "reviews" till its sorted properly , one of them running a GTX295 is having problems with slowdowns!! ha ha thats why im hanging on a bit

it is odd that the demo isnt released yet , maybe their waiting to patch the demo ha ha , if it runs like a dog on our mid range rigs then they are gonna loose alot of sales , i guess thay maybe thought they could sell a couple of million copies to the likes of me before we realise it wont run properly

The dev house and publisher for ArmA is not related to Ubisoft, right?

Looks Ok but will have to see. some times they are to real and not worth playing unless you have alot of time to play it.

and with four kids and a wife i don't have alot of time to play.

I get about 1 hour a day gaming time , after the wee one goes to bed and while the wife is watching her soap operas

Asta how dare you , ubisoft were responsible for the fantastic far cry 2 ...

dont hold your breath for the demo , these poor guys have been waiting a very long time it does seem a demo is deffo coming though
