Re: best os for gaming

Desolator,

I think you'll find that everyone will have a different opinion on which is best. I built a new PC recently and installed Vista Home Premium x64. My old PC has XP Pro. Seems that both work equally well for gaming to me at least. I have had no OS related problems running games with Visat x64. I would have no reason to downgrade my OS back to XP Pro.

Re: best os for gaming

I have Windows XP Home Edition, Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows 7 on my system, and i've found that Vista seems to be the best for gaming, with Windows 7 coming a close second, Windows XP is last, for some reason my games run slower on Windows XP compared to Vista or 7.

Re: best os for gaming

Hello Desolatator,
If you want to take full advantage of your 4 Gig of ram then x64 is the way to go, as x32 only uses about 3 Gig.

I haven't noticed any difference playing Everquest under WinXP or under Vista.
