Vista - COD 4 Inverted Graphics Problem!

Hi,

I have been playing COD 4 and have been noticing that the graphics will 'invert' sometimes, at first i thought this was because of the installation disc as it was VERY, VERY scratched. But I got a new one and installed it again, then I thought it was the graphics card and was replacing it anyway so I chucked it. Then I thought it was the monitor as Vista x64 didn't have drivers for it. So I got a new monitor, reformatted recently, all drivers are installed and I still have the problem.

I went into my ATI Catalyst Control Center and put fan speed to 100% incase the gfx card was over heating... still nothing.

This is what it looks like, as soon as I alt tab it fixes the problem but it is very annoying.

it maybe something to do with your image settings within the CCC (catalyst control center), have you tried fiddling with them settings to see what difference it makes, it does look to me like mist from GPU processing functions.

Do you get the same problem in single player, and on any other game ?

I changed the settings in CCC and it made the problem occur more, I changed the in game settings and still get it. I am pretty sure its only COD that I get this problem with. I have NO idea what's causing this!

its cod , cod 5 does it too , the only way i can sort it is by alt/tabbing too , it doesnt happen often but it does happen , lots and LOTS of people have the same issue and so far nothing seems to have been done about it

reducing AA to 0 and AF to 0 seems to help too but who the hell wants to play a game like that?

I had this in Crysis, re-installed my driver and it cured it, i have both COD's and have never had this issue, (thank god), do you find if you view the same piece of the map from a different angle it's ok ?.

Nah, it happens randomly. Thanks for everyones help though, I don't play COD much anymore so I don't really mind that much now.
