Lego Racers - Gol DLL file?

When I try to play Lego Racers (it's an older game for those of you who don't know it) I receive an error message reading:

"Unable to find a valid Gol DLL
Error Code = 126"

Any ideas? I've already tried all the compatibility options stated in the other thread and none of them work.

Is this perhaps a problem with the CD?

Re: Lego Racers - Gol DLL file?

Hi Flamingus,

What versionof Windows Vista do you run the game on? (Include the bit number) Their could be numerous causes to this frequent problem. It could be that the game is too old and cannot run on your OS. It could be your system specs that are causing the problem. (You might want to put that in your reply post) It could even be disc problems. (Highly Unlikely According to Error message) Hope this helps!

Hello Flamingus,
Try a clean install.
Explore the disk and right click on the setup launcher and run as administrator.
Patch to the latest patch.
When you launch the game run as administrator.
You may have to install a no cd patch, but try it first without one.
Good luck and post your results, thanks.
