Vista - Monopoly CD Rom

Hi,
So I've got a Monopoly game for my PC that I bought in 1999. I've tried to ownload it and use it on my laptop that runs with Vista. TThe software installs but when i try to play the game it just says there's a problem with the programme and it has to close.

The system requirements say it needs windows 95/98 and pentium 166 MHZ CPU. Is there any way of getting round these too things to make the disc work?

I'm a complete computer idiot when it comes to things like this so please give simple advice if thers anything i can do.

Have you tried to run it in compatibility mode ?.

Thanks for you response Stoneys-nutz.

I've tried it in compatability mode in a few different combinations but none of them worked. It still opens the programme, turns the screen black then says the programme has stopped working and needs closing.

Any other suggestions? x

The only other thing i can think of is to go to the makers site and see if the say anything about playing it on Vista.
Not much help I'm afraid.
