| Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) | Re: How do I verify? If the game needs DX7, it must be a pretty old game so I will have to assume that you installed the game with Admin Right, you know, Right Click on File and use "Run as Administrator" to launch installation? After that, you may want to go to the games executable, open its properties and use Compatibility for Win95 or 98 That's all I got, I have not have the need to play older games yet. |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: How do I verify? because older games dont use directx 10, you still need to install directx 9 or earlier. but to answer your question, you cannot, because it will just say directx 10. by typing in the start menu: "dxdiag.exe" and hitting return |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: How do I verify? Hey! DivX/DirectX - I got the first two letters right. What more do you want? Antihiatus - If you know that you have DirectX 10,then you have verified that you have DirectX 7 or newer. The message says - Unknown error. It may have nothing to do the two things it asks you to verify. |
