Lag issues in Counter Strike: Source

I recently bought the Razer Mamba for my computer. Its extremely sensitive and since other people use the computer, I created my own user so they wouldn't use my mouse and I could change my user's sensitivity. While playing CSS on the second user, I get a frequent, short lag that lasts for less than a second but is extremely noticable. It occurs every 30 seconds to two minutes. I am using a hardwired connection (to avoid 60 second lag) and cannot find anything related to my problem. Please help :).

Only other game I play is Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II and it runs fine.
Router--WNR2000

All of my drivers are up-to-date. I had the 60 second lag problem and tried literally everything to fix it, because it didn't occur until after I upgraded to wireless N -_-. I haven't had lag since hardwiring my connection to avoid 60 second lag. I also did a ping test, and it had connection from my router jumping from 1ms to 15 or 17ms everyone now and then but nothing more than that.

So this is server lag, as opposed to mouse lag, is that correct ?.
Also have you tried it on the main user account on the PC ?.

Yes it is definitely server lag. I also played for over half an hour on the original user earlier, didn't lag once.

Was it on the same server though ?, have you tried different servers ?, just to see if it is ok on all of them or just a few.

On the second user it lags on all the server's I have joined. I joined the same servers on the original user and it was fine. I think it must be a network setting or something, but I keep checking and I don't see anything different.

The mouse software was running earlier today when I played for over half an hour without lag. I tried to keep everything the same. When I restart my router, modem, and computer all at the same time I can play lag free for about 10 minutes and then it starts again. I checked for a firmware update, their isn't one. And Nvidia released a new driver July 31, I just updated that and double checked the rest of my drivers. They're all up-to-date now, the only one that wasn't was my graphics card. I don't expect it to make a difference since it worked fine on the other user though.

I have Stardock Objectdock on the second user, but thats really the only difference. I'm going to turn that off and see if it helps.

There's nothing running that would be trying to connect to the web while you are playing, I'm thinking like, updates to a piece of software or the like.

Ok well closes Stardock's Objectdock seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks for helping Stoney and Archie! I'll let you two know if it happens again.
