| Vista Home Premium 64Bit | Halo 2 vista wont start. I instale Halo 2 with the dedicated server and all that and it went succesfully when i tried to play it said the game cant load because dedicated server might be running. when it wasnt. and it said to reinstall to fix the problem. i did reinstall it without the dedicated server and same message pops up. how can i fix this? |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Halo 2 vista wont start. did you uninstall the dedicated server when you re-installed? You could also stop the service running via services.msc(type in start menu). |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Halo 2 vista wont start. can you navigate to (x being default disk drive) x:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Halo 2 Dedicated Server and tell me what's in that directory? if anything is in there, then you need to delete it and restart, if it says the program is in use, then start in safe mode and delete it, restart and try playing halo 2 again  |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Halo 2 vista wont start. very strange indeed, if anything it should be working now  i can only suggest a system restore if its enabled to when you installed halo 2, failing that, theres nothing more i can suggest  |
