| x64 Home Premium | Sims 2 DirectX + Display Adapter Driver All Please can someone help me before i completely lose my rag on this problem. I currently have Sims 2 Double Deluxe which has stopped working because of the 9.0c DirectX issue etc etc. Looking more into this one it would appear that this is more likely to be Graphics Card related because in Device Manager i am seeing the Yellow Exclaimation marks under Display Adapters: I have two instances of Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family with the mark. The drivers i have are 7.14.10.1409 and they appear to be the latest. The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1525 and i am running Vista 32bit. I am sure that this is the reason why the game will not play anymore but i have spent waaay too long on this one trying to sort it out. I am totally lost. Someone please help me or advise. Thanks Lee |

| x64 Home Premium | Thanks for that, i have installed the correct driver (but this driver was the one that I already had on the laptop). I am still showing up the yellow exclaimation mark though. Any ideas what to do?? I cant seem to understand why this is showing up as incorrect. Need help. |

| x64 Home Premium | What i did in the end was re-install Vista and that seemed to solve it. Bought Sims 3 and that one seems to work fine I think that there in an inherent bug somewhere in Sims 2 which kills certain PC's. This has happened on both my laptops and the only common thing is Sims 2. All good now though, appreciate your help and time on this one. Thanks Lee |
