Emulators-PLEASE HELP!

I just recently bought Mad Dog McCree. You may have heard of it. Its a game I had when I was younger and through unfortunate circumstances lost it.

But I unfortunately did not pay attention when I bought it, and now I find out it will not run on Vista. It'll run on all previous windows operating systems.

Is there some way I can run it on my computer through some sort of emulator or something (something free preferably)?

Thanks! I really appreciate any help/advice.

you could partition a part of your HD and load XP on that. Then when you wish to play the game you would boot up on the XP partition so the game will work.

Right click the game executable in the program files folder, and then click properties. Then find the part where it says Compatibility Mode, and set it to Windows XP SP2.

Hope that helps! ;)

what happens when you try to run it?

No matter what compatibility setting I set it to, it always pops up saying:

"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."

And this is when I try to INSTALL it by the way.

Hmmmmm... It isn't an old game, is it? Because some games just simply don't work on Vista.
