| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Section 8 Hi, I have never heard of the game Section 8, but I can certainly interpret benchmarks for you. Obviously, the higher frames per second, the better. However, once you go over 24 FPS, there is little need to worry about how high it can go. Movies in the cinema are filmed at 24 FPS and stored on DVDs in their original framerate. So to be "as fluid as a movie", you only need to sustain 24 FPS. Your average is 39 : excellent Min is 7 : could be a problem, but not if it was only for a second at the outset (some large bitmaps can take longer to load leading to a pause in the game). Anything less than 20 will start to stutter. 0.6% below 23 FPS : excellent, meaning you only have 1 in 200 frames dropping below 23 FPS. Your game should be very fluid. Run the bench 3 times in succession, and then average the results, and you will have a good idea of what your gaming experience will be. I can already tell you that it should be very good. DD. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Section 8 Hahaha, maybe, but again, it will make very little difference once you get above a certain FPS rate. For instance, someone getting 40 FPS won't be worse off than someone getting 60, your brain just doesn't have enough time to react. The advantage is theoretical. But then again, he is running the game at max settings. Super-high res + vsync + all settings at max?? That means scaling a few of them back will easily bump him up to the 50+ range, and then it is all a matter of skill.... DD. |
