counter-strike source on 64bit

Hey guys, I was curious does counter-strike source run in 64bit? (uses all 8gb of memory i have)

another thing is... does anyone know a website that shows all like programs that can run on 64 bit?

I been looking on google for one to know about games but so far I had no luck. :-/

Thanks for the people that posted!

Re: counter-strike source on 64bit

Multi-core rendering or whatever they call it works good for some bad for others put this in your CS autoexec.cfg :

mat_queue_mode 2

Then when you're in game go into console ~ and put cl_showfps 1 .The try it without
mat_queue_mode 2 see how your fps / chop is.

Yes CSS runs fine in 64bit but its not a 64 bit game its 32 but either way it wouldnt use anywhere near 8 gig of ram

all new games work fine on 64 bit but 99% of them are not optimised for it and run in 32bit mode , games like Crysis and far Cry 2 are optimised and benifit from 64bit

the source engine is already coded for dual core it has been since the release of Half Life 2

Ahh ok.The only source mod I've played is TF2 which didn't have multi-core support for a long time What a terrible engine compared to HL1 zzz...

Google FTW
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...4+bit+programs

Its a maze you're right but you can find some stuff.
