Vista - Where is my cursor?

I Just bought a Gateway LX-6810. I tried to play Command & Conquer 3, and no cursor! Next I tried to play RTC 3(Rollercoaster tycoon), Same problem! I loaded Heroes of might & magic V, Worked fine? The games worked and loaded fine just no cursor. If I happened to move the invisible cursor over a icon, I highlighted the icon like it was there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I was going to say it was a game setting. But not in multiple games.

Select a different cursor set in control panel. See if it works after that.

If it does, the first cursor set has possibly become corrupted.

I did figure it out. After reading several postings on this I called a friend of mine. He is a computer programmer. He said alot of games were made for XP, and some pointer options on vista were not on XP. He said to take your pointer options down to nothing, for instance no trails, and no shaddow. I did this and the game ran without a problem. Thank you for responding, I appreciate any, and all responses. Pass the word on as I saw alot of posts regarding this problem. I am sure people would like to know.=)
