| Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 : Seven Ultimate x64 | re: All about DX11 and Tessalation I'd have to disagree with you about DX11 being 'rubbish' - it does have some potential ![]() However, some posters do have some valid points regarding performance and implementation. I suspect that anything lower than a 5850 will struggle badly with tessalation / DX11 features enabled. Of course this will be dependant on each game and the drivers at the time. As for implementation, only time will tell if it's a repeat of the DX10 disappointment. Personally, I hope it takes off, even if it does mean we are 'beta testing' for next gen consoles. In fact, until the current 'DX11 supported' games are out and being played, it's still just speculation as to how worthwhile DX11 will be. (marketing hype excluded )DX11 will be nice to have, but at this stage, it's definitely not imperative to purchase a DX11 card. One thing I do find amusing, is that there is a new trend developing all over the place: nvidia users being jealous of ATI users (And denying it too)Once it used to be: Nvidia+PhysX = Jealous ATI users Now it's more like: ATI+DX11 = Jealous Nvidia users (and non-58xx series owners ) |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit SP2 | re: All about DX11 and Tessalation i didnt say DX11 was rubbish mate i said if your not a boring tech head like me you would think the article is a load of rubbish ![]() and we wont get jealous ot ATI just yet as the current ATI cards that suppoert tesselation dont support the type used in DX11 , so laugh that one off ATI users |

| Vista Ultimate x64, SP2 | re: All about DX11 and Tessalation By the time DX11 games come out we will all be too old to enjoy them. My eyesight is going now, i don't think i can hang on that long. Good god, theres only a hand full of DX10 games and look how long thats been out. I'm getting the feeling this thread could degenerate in to an Nvidia v ATI thing. (hope not) |
