DX11 if you cant wait for MS

OK we all know DX11 is coming out for Vista , probably not until SP3 though (so the rumour mill goes) BUT if you cant wait.....................

I don't see how it's different other than it was made into an article. It runs the same exact script you get from the Microsoft link, does the same thing. You just need to rename the Microsoft download and remove the ".remove" from the file name and save, which turns it into the script, which Tom's hardware already did there.

Hi Archie,
I couldn't get this(KB971644) installed for some reason, I have managed to download and get the message "operation successfuly completed" but when I check for Updates I couldn't find this update. I have tried Airbot's link as well with no luck.

Hi brummyfan,

You ran the script as adminstrator right? Have you tried rebooting, then check WU?

There's also this from the MS link -

One of the updates you have listed there that isn't installed yet may be preventing it from coming thru WU for you. Maybe that KB972036 update.

i have the same problem.
rebooted, ran as admin twice, made windows update check for updates to no avail.
