Vista - Vista preinstalled games gone(Have tried add/remove)

As title says...
my windows preinstalled games(solitaire, etc) are gone, but the thing is, I went to add/remove progs, and went to turn on and off windows features, and when I attempt to turn the games back on, i get an error saying "An error has occurred, not all of the features were successfully changed".

I have no idea what to do, but it's driving me insane.

I'd say install windows 7, but the games are not listed in the games folder? Is this copy of Vista retail?

Tick the boxes in add/remove in safe mode and then reboot.

Same deal in safe mode. error after a few minutes of waiting.

Run sfc /scannow at an elevated command prompt. Type cmd into the start menu and then press Ctrl+Shift+Enter or right click and select run as administrator.

I've done that as well, didn't have an effect.

I have heard that some people have had good results with this method.
Open a Command Prompt as Administrator.
Enter the following command and hit Enter: "Start /wait ocsetup InboxGames" (without quote marks). This will take several minutes to complete. Once the command is complete you will return to the command prompt. This command does not return a message. You will need to manually reboot the system to complete this method.
I don't know if it will work in your case, it seems the files are missing or damaged, but may be worth a try.
