Vista - Game Compatable with vista x64???

Hi, this is my first post here. I just got a new desktop with 64 bit vista and I'm unable to install Warcraft III. I have 2 seperate CDs for the same game, both work fine on other desktops and laptops but don't install on this machine.

I put the cd in the drive and windows recognizes it, the little Warcraft icon is there and then the autoplay tries to run, and i click "Allow". Once I click allow, either an error message comes up saying a problem occured to make war3_install.exe to shut down, or a small window comes up saying "ErrDlg: 1309"

I ran a diagnostic to make sure the cd drive works fine and it does. I've installed other software on this computer so I don't think its an issue with the drive. And the CD's work on other computers, is this a problem with vista not being compatable with this older game?? How can I install this game?

I have seen this a few times.
Explore the DVD/CD and install as administrator, (right click on install .exe).

Or you can try this.
Enter your CD key on battle.net. You can get a digital copy from there. No install problems.

For whatever reason, no matter what I do I can't install it from the CD. I'm downloading it from the website now. Thank you for the advice I really hope it works
