Full screen Games Keep Minimizing!

When i run full screen games, one minute im playing the next its minimized to the task bar, it does it.. maybe every 5-10 minutes ,Any solution to what's causing it to minimize? :(

Perhaps it's a background application that is taking priority.

Hello Energylord,
Have you ever had a prompt come up about "sticky keys" ?.
It's a feature of Windows, Sticky Keys can be activated by pressing 5 times on the SHIFT key, so if you are gaming and have that key set for an action, press it five times and you are back to your desktop.
Check to see if they are enabled.

yes i know about sticky keys (it is all off now) and i cant seem to remember anything that should take priority to make the game minimize.... i did keep task manager minimized so i could see what was active,using some cpu ,etc after the minimization and nothing..:sarc:

Hi,

Have bee having the same problem now as well for the past week or so.
It would seem every 20 min's or so i would be sent back to desktop while playing Darkspace or Warcraft. at first i thought it must of been me and the stuipid windows key's but have turned them off.
Updated all my drivers and run full scans but can find nothing wrong.

Sorry bit new to all this so any help would be great.

This problem keeps happening to me and I don't have AVG installed. It also keeps deselecting the area when I'm typing in a search bar or on MSN and other things like that. Anybody have any solutions? Much appreciated.

Well if you're sure you aren't hitting any keys that would make it do that (Windows key, Shift five times, alt+tab, Caps Lock, etc) you might try running the game in safe mode (if that will even work haha, not sure if a heavy game would work in safe mode) and if it runs and doesn't have that problem, we'll show you how to figure it out with a clean boot. Let me know if if works in safe mode.
