Side by side error and error 1935

Ok, I’ve been getting a side by side error every time I try and play borderlands and battle forge.

I tried installing visual studio 2005+2008 but every time I get error 1935
I uninstalled them and tried to reinstall but get the same error

A bit drastic, but probably the best fix there is. ;)

ha yeah, I was having so many issues I gave up and did it

1) SP2 kept on failing
2)Side by side error
3)error 1935 which did not seem to be foxed from any of the other methods pointed to me.
