How do i know what MDAC to dl for vista?

    How do i know what MDAC to dl for vista?

    I keep getting this message when i get on "The .net framework data providers require microsoft data access component(MDAC). Please install MDAC 2.6 or later" but everything i look up doesn't support Vista?

    Hi,

    What application are you trying to install and is there an update available for it that makes it Vista compatible. The Vista equivalent of MDAC is WDAC 6.0 which is the functional equivalent to MDAC 2.8 so most MDAC applications will work, but most solutions are specific so I need to know what application you are trying to install.
