Sid Meier's Pirates

I have recently installed Sid Meiers Pirated but it wont play, whenever i try to run the games nothing happens, no error messages nothing. ive tried running it through compatibility but it still doesnt work.

My system specs are

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core Processor
6GB DDR2 Ram
nVidia Geforce GT130
Windows Vista Home Premium x64-bit OS
