Reason

I want the computer to be super fast for the game AION i play and the ability to multitask and burn music and dvds. Also i want it to last for the next 3-4 years speed wise

Is it worth it?

Unless you're having major/really annoying problems with your PC being too slow to play your games or that it's not fast enough to multitask fairly heavy duty programs then I see no reason to upgrade; it's of perfectly good specification to do the vast majority of things.

If you think it's worth the money just to make your PC a little quicker then by all means go for it, but personally I wouldn't bother upgrading.

you could save a bit of money by not going for 6 core cpus yet, hardly anyone making software optimised for even 2/4 core yet and sata 6 is heaverly bottlenecked at mo due to currant chipsets, the tech needs to mature for a year or so.

well i planned on using thruban technology which turns it into a 3 core and adds 400mhz to each core

id upgrade the gpu to a ati 5770 so you can play games at good frames. and you get dx11.

i like my MSI 4890 Cyclone its just i need more proccesser power, anyone know a good motherboard to OC on or processer that is 2 to 3 times more powerful than the 3.16 wolfsdale duel core
