Hi, what browser are you currently using?

Firefox, Internet Explorer etc.

If you are using Firefox there are several extensions that are known to conflict with Java.

To see if the problem is limited to Rune Scape try using vNES and choose a game of your choice (this is the only completely Java based game site I know of bar Rune Scape).

Report back with any success or information.

Try using another browser as well and see if that works.

Hehe, I used to play that.
What I would try is Uninstalling all previous versions of Java. I know when I moved from IE to Google Chrome, I had to do that. It may be required when moving to other browsers.
To un-install all previous versions:
Ensure that you are logged on as an Administrator, then:
Click Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a program (Or programs/features if in classic view)
From there, remove all previous versions of Java except for the most recent version.

This probably wont fix a connection problem, but it is worth a shot anyway.

Good luck!
