ok, so it is as my specs say. i dont have a gaming computer but it was enough for oblivion elder scrolls 4... untill it started having apphangb1. out of nowhere. ive tried mods, patches, emulators,oldblivion.. i dont know whats wrong and im absolutly over my head here with people telling me about command promt work.

please help, i know every apphang is different but maybe someone else out there has this same problem.
Any comments will be greatly appreciated :cry:

Have you ran a system check on Can You Run It?

Did you buy the disc? Or did you download it?

Can you please explain what you have tried to do with the "mods, patches, emulators, oldblivion"?

yup i bought the disk from circut city before they went under. Ive gone to bethesda's website and downloaded the whole game patch for my computer and it still didnt work... ive disabled the DEP and installed it and then enabled it again, same thing happened.. ive gone to 3rd party websites and gotten mods and patches people said worked and it still didnt.. im not a computer wiz but im not bad on one, usually i have no problem with this stuff. maybe its a vista os update my computer automatically did and it made it non compatable with oblivion because it has worked in the past..
by the way thank you for replying to this it means a lot that someone is trying to help :)

How recent is this problem?

Also can you try this:

SFC Scan:

1. Open the start menu
2. In the search box, type cmd
3. Right click on command prompt and select Run as administrator
4. In command prompt, type:

sfc /scannow
