My private server games wont work on vista

Hi. im experiencing problem with my Vista Home premium, private online games that i download doesnt work. although i have completely downloaded all the game component. it only prompts to launcher but the game would not start.
also im a bit frustrated because NFS underground is not compatible with Vista

is there a way i can change my OS? would that affect my hardware?
can anyone recommend me a good OS that would be compatible to majority of games?

What are "private online games"?

Have you look for patches from the manufactuer?

You can change your OS, but you need to endure all the drivers are avalible in the OS youre going to.. With XP, the hardware makers are starting to not make drivers for XPa, as it is now 2 OS's old.

Vista runs most games... I've rarely found a game that won't

thanks, private servers are like online games. its like a game created from the true game itself. modified game in short. they are online though.. ill check for patches..

im planning to buy another PC. would windows 7 be compatible because most of the time i use my PC is for games lol!.. or better, what OS would you recommend for gaming purpose? thank you.

I get yha on the private servers thing.

You got no choice... Only windows 7 is sold, and really only really old games are issues.
For patches, try the manufactuers as questionable patches could be viruses.
